How big can a dog be?
There are dogs which weigh approximately 1Kg up to 80 kg.
Height can be from 10 cm to 90 cm approximately.
We have categorised the dogs into 6 different sizes
(very small, small, medium, above medium, big, very big).
By clicking on “very small” you can jump from one dog breed to the other.
Dogs in very small make up approximately 12% of all dog breeds,
with small 16%, medium 16%, above medium 25%, big 23%
and very big 8% respectively.
Unfortunately the big dog breeds’ life expectancy is generally shorter
than the small ones.
In nature the dog litter amongst the bigger dog breeds is larger
so as to balance things out.
